Viagra ™ is the trade name of a drug whose active ingredient is sildenafil citrate. It is used to treat erectile dysfunction. Sildenafil is not a hormonal drug and is not intended to stimulate an erection. It helps only when there is sexual arousal.
Method of administration and dosage
The drug is taken orally. The recommended dose for most patients is 50 mg, if necessary, it can be reduced to 25 mg or increased to 100 mg. The maximum recommended dose is 100 mg. The drug should be taken about an hour before sexual activity.
Contraindications
Sildenafil is contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to sildenafil or any other component of the drug, in severe diseases of the cardiovascular system, in certain blood diseases, when taking nitrates or other drugs that may not be combined with Sildenafil.
